Our managers and supervisors are expected to be coaches for our people, to motivate, support and recognize employee contributions. More than 85 percent of Newalta’s eligible employees are members of the savings plan and shareholders. Collectively, employees own almost one million shares.
A second tier of the Savings Plan allows for payroll deductions for additional contributions to the same selection of funds.
We have a long-term commitment to creating an environment of positive health habits, both physical and mental. Balance between work and family is important. We provide flex-time arrangements to allow people the opportunity to balance the many demands on their time.
Our confidential Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) helps employees and family members identify and understand sources of personal difficulties and develop necessary coping strategies.
